A Devotee is Straightforward

“In modern times the sophisticated behave indirectly. If they disagree with a particular point, they will not denounce it, but will either ignore or skate around the topic rather than engage in conflict. In Vedic civilization such behaviour is unsatisfactory. A civilized person is always straightforward. As Srila Rupa Goswami confirms in the Bhakti Rasamrta Sindhu, sarvatha drdha niscaya, “A devotee’s every statement is straightforward and they are firm in their decision.”

[Srimad Bhagavatam, 10.23.12, Purport by Sri Krsna Balaram Swamiji, KBS0184]
